ORDERING

Products are ordered via the online store by adding them to the shopping cart. The order is submitted by paying for the contents of the shopping cart at checkout. A binding order is formed when the customer purchases a product or service from the online store and the order is confirmed.

By placing an order, you accept these delivery terms, the product prices, and any delivery costs. If an email address is provided at the time of ordering, an order confirmation will be sent by email. The order confirmation includes the ordered products and the total price.

payments

The online store uses well-known and reputable payment service providers Stripe and Paytrail. Their terms of service can be found at https://www.paytrail.com/ and https://stripe.com/.

Payment is completed using the payment options available on the website. Payment service providers transfer the payment to the merchant with a delay. All payments are secure, as all transaction data is transmitted using encrypted connections so that no third party can access the payment details.
The contract of sale is formed between the customer and the online store. The online store is responsible for all obligations related to the transaction.

Payment methods

Through Paytrail and Stripe, you can pay using various payment methods, such as online banking credentials, digital wallets, or payment cards (credit/debit). The payment methods available at any given time are listed in the online store.

Delivery

Digital products are usually delivered immediately after purchase unless a specific launch or start date has been defined for the product. The customer can download the digital products via a download link sent to the email address provided. The download link is valid for at least 30 days.

Delivery costs are included in the price unless otherwise stated. Any applicable delivery costs are shown at checkout before final order confirmation. If a product is lost or damaged during delivery, the customer must notify the online store without delay, and no later than 14 days after delivery.

returns and cancellation

Products ordered from the online store are subject to a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with consumer protection legislation, unless otherwise stated. For digital services, the 14-day cancellation period begins from the conclusion of the contract.

The right of withdrawal does not apply if the delivery of the service has begun with the customer’s consent before the end of the withdrawal period, and the customer has already gained access to the digital content, even if the 14-day period has not yet expired.

Processing of Personal Data

Personal data provided by the customer in connection with an order or possible registration is stored in the customer register of HC Services Oy. Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and the service provider’s privacy policy.

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties, except for payment service providers, who require limited access to payer information solely for processing payments.

Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership of all original materials in the online store and all related intellectual property rights belong to HC Services Oy or, in exceptional cases, to the holder of the copyright, unless otherwise stated.

Borrowing, distribution, copying, commercial or other use, or publication of the materials without permission from HC Services Oy is prohibited. This also applies to the distribution of digital content, for example via a company intranet. Purchased materials are intended for personal use only.

Liability for Defects and Complaints

The online store has statutory liability for defects in the products sold. In the event of a complaint, please contact tom@tomlaine.com.

Any disputes arising from this Agreement or its interpretation shall primarily be resolved through negotiation. Consumers have the right to refer disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board. Legal proceedings shall be handled in Oulu, Finland, and governed by Finnish law and, where applicable, EU legislation.

Neither party shall be liable for delays, errors, or damages caused by force majeure.

Customer responsibility

The customer is always responsible for modifying the purchased digital products and for their use for personal purposes or for the purposes of the company they represent.
